Optos 200Tx Scanning Laser Ophthalmoscope
The 200Tx device was designed specifically for ophthalmologists and vitreoretina specialists. It offers multiple wavelength imaging, including options for color, red-free, fluorescein angiography and autofluorescence with green laser light. With simultaneous non-contact pole-to-periphery views of more than 80% or 200 degrees of the retina in a single capture, the 200Tx helps clinicians discover more evidence of disease and guide their treatment decisions. With its advanced features like Eye Steering and ResMax central pole resolution enhancement to 11 μm.
200Tx can provides non-mydriatic ultra-high resolution images in 0.25 second, through 2 mm pupils and most cataracts, which is suitable for diabetes, glaucoma, nystagmus and children, etc.
200Tx is the only device that can achieve a 200 degrees fundus image. Its unique advantage is that it can acquire the ultra-wide field FFA images at the same time without montage or contact the cornea. The operation is much simpler and patient-friendly.
In the past, the peripheral retina was often ignored by doctors because of the lack of proper presentation. Recently, peripheral retina has become a research hotspot in the international ophthalmology. There are nearly 300 research and reports on UWF only in 2015. These reports have been proved the value of UWF in a variety of fundus diseases such as DR, RVO, and uveitis. Through ultra-wide-angle images, scholars have discovered more disease characteristics that were previously unknown and explored disease mechanisms. With UWF images, practitioners can discover more evidence of disease and guide their treatment decisions.
